I don't even have to tell you that I ran alone this morning, my splits will tell you that.
Lana had to bail due to a sick kid. I was on my own.
I ran a VERY slow warm up then started the 1200's. Oh the pain!! I quickly revised my goal from Lana's 5k pace to something closer to mine. I told myself as long as I kept them under an 8:00 pace I would be happy. First one 5:57 (7:57 pace). The two mintue jog went by too fast and it was time for the second 1200. 5:56 (7:56 pace). So far so good. Again the 2 minute jog passed much too quickly. The third 1200 hurt even more and failed to meet even my revised goal. 6:05 (8:07 pace). That did me in. I jogged the 2 minutes and pushed through the last 1200. 6:06 (8:08 pace). I slowed to a jog and headed home, the long way.

Running alone when you're used to having someone like Lana along really sucks; but don't beat yourself up. 7:57, 7:56, 8:07, 8:08 is fairly constant pacing. You did well.

Oh the NERVE of that Lana! jk
Working out alone is never fun. Which sport is the worst for that, swimming, running or cycling? I say swimming.
Great job!! I don't think your second 2 1200 were that far off at all, so you did excellent in my book.
And ugh, the 2 min jogging breaks were NEVER enough for me, let alone the 90sec ones.
You did well!
