New Blogger

First, I want to welcome Holly to blog land. She is Lana's sister and a runner. Maybe a triathlete this summer. Go visit her and give her some love.

This morning I met Lana at the Rec Center for a 10 mile GA run.

I don't know what is going on with the weather but it was 60 degrees. It has been cold in the mornings so this morning I was WAY over dressed. Cold gear tights were overkill. I left the vest, gloves, and ear thingy in the car. Nothing I could do about the tights at this point.

Lana wasn't feeling good before we even started.

We did a loop down Interstate Drive and through town. As we ran past the Rec Center Lana said she was done.

I was once told the hardest part about being a runner is know when NOT to run. Lana made the right choice this morning.

I made the second loop on my own. I was hot but felt good. It was a almost a mile short when I got back to the Rec Center, so I had to do an out and back on the greenway. My splits tell just how much I wanted to do that out and back.

Here they are:
10:16, 9:31, 9:27, 9:33, 9:40, 9:33, 9:28, 9:30, 9:24, and 9:51
1:36:11 overall 9:37 average pace.

Cold front is coming tonight, or so they say. Wonder if I will need cold gear tomorrow?

I said "hi" to Holly but I teased her about her blog name, which looks a lot like mine. Hehe.

It is storming in Nashville... As you said, it will be cold tomorrow. Don't you just love the weather in Middle Tennessee?

The weather has been warm here too. Definitely not Thanksgiving weather.

Weird weather in Cali too...it was 75 and mild most of the week! Which doesn't seem weird for CA maybe, but come on, it's almost Thanksgiving! Even WE don't get great weather like that this time of year!

Great job on your run!

Hey Michele,

Congrats on the IMFL entry. You are signed up aren't you?

You're right about the cold weather coming. I have got to track down my cold weather gear. Running in tonight in the 30s. Brrrrr!

Nice job on the run!

I completely agree with that statement "The hardest thing about being a runner is knowing when NOT to run." I skipped my run today and it was very difficult decision. I think I did the right thing though, like Lana did too. :)

Have a great weekend!
