Help - Advice Needed!!!!

I am thinking I am going to be ok to run tomorrow. So now I need to know which workout is more important speed or tempo. This week called for:

10x400 (400 RI) with warm up and cool down
8 miles at marathon pace
20 miles at marathon pace + 20 seconds

I can’t get all 3 in so which are more important to reaching my 4 hour marathon goal???
I am planning the 20 miler for Friday but which one should I do tomorrow?

I don't think it makes a giant difference. I would probably do the marathon pace run, I guess. I hope you are feeling lots better! :)

With the marathon so close, do the speed workout. You've had plenty of short tempo runs. Remember to focus on consistency. Really try to run each of the 400s evenly. That is, don't burn yourself out on the first couple and drag for the rest. Focus on getting your turn over rate up to speed. Treat each interval as an event.

You might also want to consider running 5x800s or mixing up the distance a little.

Sorry, if my 2 cents is late. But I would do the speed and the 20 miler on the weekend. I hope you're feeling better.
